Why we built this

Most "free" online tool sites bury one working feature under ads, fake download buttons, and a forced signup wall before you can actually use anything. A word counter shouldn't need an account. A PDF converter shouldn't need three popups before it lets you upload a file. We built ToolShore around a simple rule: every tool should do the one thing it promises, immediately, and get out of your way once it's done.

How it actually works

Wherever it's technically possible, our tools run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — things like word counters, calculators, formatters, and image resizing happen on your device, and your data never touches our servers at all. You could disconnect from the internet after the page loads and most of these tools would keep working.

Some tasks genuinely can't be done that way. Certain PDF conversions, video processing, and lookups (like DNS or WHOIS queries) require a server to do the work. In those cases, we process your file, hand back the result, and delete it immediately afterward. We don't keep copies, we don't scan your files for anything else, and we don't need an account to do it.

If you're not sure where to start, the search bar on the homepage searches across everything at once.

What's next

This is an active project — new tools are added regularly, and existing ones get refined based on what people actually use. If a tool doesn't work the way you expect, or there's something you wish existed, that feedback directly shapes what gets built next.
