Business Days Calculator — Add or Count Working Days

Find a date that's a set number of business days away, or count how many working days fall between two dates. Weekends are skipped automatically, and you can list holidays to skip as well.

How to Use the Business Days Calculator

There are two tabs. Add business days to a date takes a start date and a number of business days and gives you the resulting date, shown with the full weekday so you can see at once which day it falls on. Count business days between dates takes a start and end date and returns the number of working days in that range. If you have holidays to leave out, type them into the holidays box, one per line in YYYY-MM-DD format — for example 2026-12-25. Each tab has its own holiday box.

How Business Days Are Counted

Business days are Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday treated as the weekend. When you add days, counting starts from the day after your start date: 10 business days after Monday 1 June 2026 is Monday 15 June 2026. When you count between two dates, both the start and the end date are included if they are business days, so Monday 1 June to Friday 12 June 2026 is 10 business days.

The calculator doesn't know your country's public holidays — you provide any you want skipped — and it doesn't support a different weekend, such as Friday and Saturday. For anything legally or contractually important, such as notice periods or payment terms, check how the relevant rules define a working day.

Good Uses for This Tool

Estimating delivery and shipping dates, setting invoice due dates such as net 10 business days, planning project milestones and deadlines, tracking response-time targets, and counting the working days available before a launch or a holiday.

Is It Actually Private?

Yes. All the calculations happen in your browser — the dates and holidays you enter are never sent to a server or stored.
